i have to write an article and i' m a bit intimidated b/c it's not like this... which is two parts stream of consciousness and one part depth. articles call for layout and design. and i've just always been a better doodler.
i think when we examine what we're doing (what is it that we're doing?) we have to constantly ask ourselves a question:
are people becoming more like Jesus as a result of what we're doing or not?
because most of us, us meaning the church not the lost; most of us are pretty well informed by the Bible. but how many of us are letting the words wrap around our hearts and weave into our thoughts? how many of us are being FORMED by the Bible?
at Renovare I heard justin campbell say, "to act right, we must choose right and to choose right, we must think right." the mind represents a certain function of our soul and people need to move beyond mere belief. we need to not just be informed, we must gain the power to represent things as they are with an appropriate basis of thought and experience. and i think that's where the renewal of knowledge puzzle piece fits.
rethink our thinking in light of Christ.
