The Renovare conference opened up with a worship service where Richard Foster spoke on the zoe life--meaning the spiritual, eternal life.
He created an argument stating that the Zoe life is a life beyond ourselves. It is indestructible. It is for participants only, not for consumers, or observers. Zoe life has a principle all its own. It will move us strenously and relentlessly into Christlikeness. This zoe life resides in God alone, the giver of agape love--the only power that can truly transform our hearts.
Oh, may I turn toward and into this zoe life that flows from God through Scripture and into the thirsty wasteland of the human soul.
